Growing up, I was told by everyone, including my own parents, that I would never be anybody nor get anywhere in life. I was labeled a burden by my family and called ‘the devil’s child’ by elementary schoolteachers simply because I was left-handed. They treated me differently, including forcing me to submit myself to daily beatings in order to change who I was.

Overtime, I started to believe there really was something wrong with me because of the labels that society had unfairly cast upon me. I started wondering maybe I shouldn’t even exist in this world.

I felt stuck as it seemed the closer I got to finally figuring things out, something would happen that would cause me to fall right back to where I started. And yet, I still felt this invisible weight of the world on my shoulders, calling me to do something more.

In college, things did not get any better. I went from major to major, and even in jobs, I went from job to job. I did not know who I was or what I was supposed to do!

Eventually, I got to this place where I knew what I was supposed to do and that was to be a writer. Yet, I still felt there was more that I needed to do.

Now, I help people who are slaves to their own past, clarify who they are, acknowledge their feelings, and learn how to believe in themselves, so they can become Spellbinding Warriors and discover their full potential.
