Lochlann McKinnon
Lochlann is a warlock carrying a curse that he doesn’t even know about. In fact, he should be dead. His life was spared when Mortain McKinnon took pity and prevented his best friend from murdering his newborn son.
Mortain raised the boy as his own, vowing to keep his true identity a secret. However, Lochlann’s story is a fixed point in time - full of mistrust, broken alliances and deceit.
Orlynd O'Brien
Orlynd O’Brien was only fifteen when his father was banished from the kingdom of Vandolay, leaving Orlynd, alone, in an unfamiliar environment, and in
the forced new role of the king’s soothsayer. Though Orlynd doesn’t always trust his visions, nor do people always listen to him, he has vowed to protect the king, even at the cost of his own life.

Anya is a manipulative, power player, who will do whatever is necessary to get what she wants, even if that means getting others to do her dirty work. Her goal is to conquer Iverna.
King Déor
As a teen, Déor's a spoiled brat who thinks he’s better than other people simply because he’s the crowned prince. He's unlikeable at first, yet, grows into someone people learn to love, partially in thanks to Orlynd's influence.
Lord Kaeto
Lord Kaeto is an omniscient dragon who is ruler of the magical kingdom Aracelly. He oversees the Rite of Wands ceremony.

The Sulchyaes is a devilish, mythical creature of legend, believed to have been conjured through black magic by the druids. It has the head of a Krampus, a body of a lion, claws of an eagle, wings of a black bird, and the tail of a snake
